My friend and I stopped by to grab four drinks, and some food, the guy who took our order wasn’t super friendly but got everything in our order correct. We got a chocolate crepe to-go but it was given to us on a plate so we had to ask for it to-go again, and then we left without our croissant bc it wasn’t out with our drinks, crepe when our order was ready. I will say they should ask for a name because I wasn’t sure whose order was who’s because the guy had made two other drinks that I wasn’t sure if they were mine. I did call bc we were too far in our car to turn back for the croissant when realizing we didn’t have it and the woman was very nice, and refunded us right away, we checked and received the refund. That right there is what will make us come back, that and the caramel hot chocolate is the best hot chocolate I’ve ever had (I’ve had a lot, I’m pregnant and craving!!) and my friend said the iced caramel macchiato was the best she’s ever had as well. We will definitely come back during winter time to enjoy a hot beverage and pastry.

This place is a rare gem. I came in for coffee and some sweets after copilot directed me here based on that criteria and this place is just so over the top incredible. They allowed me to very slowly browse every chocolate and when I was done they offered me a menu with unexpected breakfast offerings. I struggled to decide between the cranberry crepe or apple and Brie, so I asked what they suggested and went with the apple and Brie and let me tell you. It is heaven. So first the crepe, it’s so perfectly thin, I’m very judgey about my crepes and this one could not have been made any better. And the filling, the soft sweetness of the ales was balanced exquisitely by the rich savory flavor of the melted Brie. Together, it provided me one of the best and most memorable breakfasts of me like. We also tried the coffee and I had the dulce de leaches and just yum, so yum. I could drink it all day. I’m going to pick out a selection of macarons and chocolates before I go, and I’m so excited to try them because I know they just going to be heaven. I’ll be back for those cranberry crepes and my husband wants to check out how authentic the Belgium wales are since he spent some time there and can’t find them in America. Love love love this place, everything was over the top amazing. 20/10 Must visit for anyone.

A unique combination of high quality dishes with delicious drinks that pair perfectly with each other. This is such a nice addition to the neighborhood! The staff was very welcoming and the ambiance was very relaxing. The handcrafted coffee drinks offer a unique twist to the usual coffee shop offerings. Whether you’re a fan of sweet or savoury the crepe and the waffle options are both equally appetising! We had the strawberry waffle which was made to perfection and the toppings were very fresh. We also had the Lorraine crepe which was the best crepe I’ve had in Chicago. We’ll definitely be back!

Leonidas Cafe Chocolaterie was the perfect way to start our morning. From the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed by the heavenly aroma of freshly baked pastries, rich Belgian chocolate, and freshly brewed coffee, it felt like stepping into a cozy European café tucked away on a quiet street. I ordered the Triple Hot Chocolate and an Almond Chocolate Croissant, and let me tell you, this was the breakfast of dreams. I’ve been on a mission to find the best hot chocolate, and I’ve sampled dozens across the city. This one instantly made it into my top three. The hot chocolate was velvety and luxurious, with a deep cocoa richness that wrapped around your taste buds like a silk scarf. It had layers, first the bold, slightly bitter edge of dark chocolate, then a wave of creamy milk chocolate sweetness, and finally a whisper of white chocolate rounding it all out. Served steaming hot, it was perfectly sippable without being too thick or too sweet. The Almond Chocolate Croissant was a revelation. Golden and flaky on the outside with delicate layers that crumbled just slightly with each bite, giving way to a pillowy, buttery interior. The almond filling was nutty and subtly sweet, and the embedded dark chocolate added the perfect touch of richness. Dipping it into the hot chocolate? Absolute magic. It was like breakfast and dessert had fallen in love. This meal felt indulgent in the best way possible, comforting, satisfying, and joyful. If you’re looking for a beautiful, decadent start to your day, Leonidas Cafe Chocolaterie is non-negotiable. I’ll be dreaming about that croissant until my next visit.
